Starting over again!!

After losing my last aro about a year and a half ago, I decided to start over again and grow out another one.

Guess this will be the grow out thread for this fish. He's right around 6 inches, was in the fish store eating crickets for three weeks, and we picked him up last night. Today my girlfriend put tilapia on a bread tie twisted in a loop and he snapped it right up, so I expect this little guy to get big quick.

This is my 4th arowana, only grew one to adult size. He was stung by one of my rays and never recovered. Stopped eating and died three months later. Was 26 inches.

An oscar I had. Gpdriftwood has an identical twin to fluffy that he has offered to give me to replace him.

Not even two weeks in the tank and this guy is growing fast and getting some unbelievable color for a silver aro. The only lights on this tank is a 5000k shop light. That color is all him...

Nice little silver. I find that aro’s can have drastically different attitudes and temperaments. To me that makes the aro. Looks like you have a promising one.
