I got out of fish keeping about 12 months ago after my 180 seal split and killed all my monsters. Sold off my larger tanks and now am planning to start over again small at first then expand to a 40gallon bowfront in August. I'm not really up for monsters again quite yet.

Currently living in a college dorm apartment. Can have up to a 20 gallon tank setup.

I have a 20 gallon bow front with Emeperor filter and Stealth heater with a custom hood with T5 lighting. Planning on starting off in this with a few good adult specimens of whatever I get and then expanding my stock when I switch to the 40 bow.

I was thinging of going German Ram route and doing a planted tank.
I had an idea of what I wanted to go with, but remember I've been gone for awhile don't lynch me quite yet.

4 German Blue Rams
12 Tetras
2 Albino Cory Cats
Any other alterations or suggestions?

Planning on havily planted with spanish moss, amazon sword and looking at others.

One I have the 40 bowfront setup, I would like to move these over and go with most likely

12 German Blue Rams
50 Tetras
10 Albino Cory cats
4 Boseman Rainbows

Any input or suggestions welcome.

Look at those!!!!

I think you should do something like those. Amano style nature aquarium. White cloud minnow or harlequin rasboras could be your fishes. Or you could use rams I guess. I am OFFICIALLY BUYING a 40-100 gallon OFFICIALLY in the next few months. I am officially going to try my best doing a design like those even though I have plant eaters. My brother wants to pick up his black moors soon so I will be free to do so. :)

Anyways, it's too bad what happened to your tank. Good thing you are getting back into this. I suggest Hemianthus micranthemoides for a plant. PS: beware, amazon sword gets 40 cm in all directions. It will a good centerpiece at least.
