So in case you missed it, i'm the one who had his 220 explode a while ago. Well i'm looking into my next setup already. We truely are crazy aren't we? Anyways, my wife is "allowing" me to get a new tank under the following conditions.
1: It must be brand new
2: it must be 4' or less
3: it has to house Thomas (my prized male green sev who I managed to save) and a new fire eel who we sadly lost after the tank failure (unrelated though) plus a few other fish.
So I was looking on glasscages and they sell a 4x30"x25" (150g). I know this wouldn't hiuse a full grown fire eel, but it should work for atleast 3 years imo. My last eel (doug) was almost 3 years old and 23" or so. I am eventually going to get an acrylic 8x3x2.5 so it WILL eventually be upgraded. I love the 4x2.5 footprint and the price is amazing. Whats everyones opinion if this setup? Filtration will be an FX5 for bio and 2x emperor 400's for mech so that won't be an issue. So is this do able guys?
