Starting tank

Ok I have a fresh water moray which I am slowly bring up to brackish , hes in a 20 gal long. Ive had him almost a month and I need to move him . I have a tank to move him into right now he is at 1.016 . My question is the tank I am moving him to is fresh water cycled so if I change it to 1.016 salinity will this kill all the good bacteria. Thank so much.

Yes he will have the tank to himself. I suppose I could move the filter from the tank he is in now and leave the one on it that is there now.

You might want to go over to the brackish section of MFK... they would have more experience with this.
