very soon here my big project should be finished, its all diy!!!
stand
canopy
background
wetdry
overflow

i would just like some detailed info on exactly how to go about getting the overflow and wetdry started, how much water in the sump area and what not..

the tank is a 75 gal with two 1" overflows and a 20 gal tank for the sump area using the "bucket trickle filter"

your questions are pretty broad, not sure what you really want to know about getting your overflow and sump going. I think you'll find a lot of answers that your looking for by searching, or at least to narrow down your questions

Fill the sump enough to cover the pump. Fill the tank to about half an inch above the overflows.

To prime the overflow, you will need to pour enough water into the vent to fill the outside loop. Then suck the air out of the upper loop. Put a piece of airline on the check valve so you can see when you start getting water.

If the pump starts pulling air when you turn it on, add more water to the sump.

After everything is going good, shut it down. Watch the sump to make sure it doesn't overflow. Be ready to turn it on again if the sump gets too full. Have a bucket and towels handy in case you made an error or omission in the planning.

Lastly, after the system has been off for a while, it should start back up without your help (other than plugging in the pump again).

exactly what i needed, thanks chompers, as always, your my diy hero!!
