I have a question for all the folks who do this full time how did you get it started and keep it going. I am debating on trying to start my own fish business online . I know it will require alot of work and planning but I believe I would enjoy being around fish more than what I am doing now.

There are a million threads on this site about this.

Just use the search key..

I've been working on my fish business for over a year, and I am still not up and running.

The hardest thing I am having issues with is finding the right area for the right price. I refuse to pay $3,000+ for rent alone.

Other than that, I have everything I need except stock.

But, I've got a whole basement that I'm setting up until then.

a link to some well written info would be nice :) im interested too

What kinds of fish do you plan to breed ? I am thinking birchars, arrowannas, gars, plecos, cichlids, and catfish and lungfish if I ever get them lol. A link would be greatly appreciated couldn't find much on here maybe I used the wrong key words.

I'll look into getting some links for you.

As for breeding...

Rays, Frontosa, Jags, Carpintis, Cubans, Shrimps, plecos, Koi, marble crays, snails... I have a HUGE variety of fish now, and I am going to try to have as much variety as possible. The only good pet store in this area is 45 mins away, and they are sooooo over priced.

I have had my own petstore emphasized on fish and tried it online to I had a ton of tanks it is a lot of work and costs incredable amounts of money I lost 100 k on it please if you do start one know your market and make certain you have a viable market dont try to compete with another store even if it sucks and make sure you have enough money for yourself to get by for at least 2 years if you have any questions just ask me ill be happy to help
