of course is is just a hloding talk for a few months thought=, wolf fish, aft, vamp tertas and puffers come to mind any help would be grateful

you wont sucessfully keep them together even if small in a 30 gallon... i understand its a grow out but i just dont wee that working... especially the tetras and wolffish or tetras and puffer

i dont think he means all of them at once... OR does he? If you are just thinking of just one of the fish you mentioned then i dont see why not a 30g would be a great grow out..

i would do the vampire tetras.....yeahhhhhh or go with just the aft...and save for a bigger tank..

Well.. ATF and Payara will stress out from being in an undersized tank, and they are hard to care for in the 1st place.. Not really a beginner 'monster' fish nor suited for a smaller tank..

The wolf fish would be ok, but I would only consider a rainbow wolf.. as they stay smaller and are often more active and can sometimes have tankmates.. Most the other wolffish get large and boring.

Puffers are a great choice.. :) If you can find them; red-eye puffers, samurai puffer, south-american puffers, and a number of harder to find species like Palembangs, Suvatti, and Mirius.. but, the easiest and best puffer would likely be the Figure-8.. A pair of them could live a good majority of their life in that tank, and if you want to see them 'feast' on live feeders, it should be no problem.

Good Luck bro!

this isn't my fisrt tank just an impulse buy that I refuse to put into the garage with 3 running 45's!!! This tank was just so kewl looking and I was told and beleive that it was a prototype tank from china sent to this store to see what the public thought of it. I have visited mmost of the asian fish shops and have never seen this tank for sale and no mention of it either. I just want to do a single fish in this tank.

Thanks

Can you post a pic of the tank? Also do you care how big the fish eventually gets?
