Meet 'Yoyo' He was tied up to the Memphis Humane Society sign out front yesterday morning with a neck tie. He only weighs 27# and his nails were growing down so much that he had a hard time walking. they named yoyo because he's bouncing back very quickly. best we can guess, he's 6-8 months old. hell of a way to start out in life!

Just cant figure our how someone could do this to a dog, then tie him to a sign with no shelter when its raining and 41*.

I'm feeding him a little bit every two hours because he throws up if he eats too much. hes a sweet dog and loves to lick. i took him out to pee and he wanted to play with the other dogs but he got wore out in about 5 minutes and i had to carry him in.

I feel he finally got some loving care on his way..he'll be up in no time

( looks like he is carrying a ton of parasites..you'll have to deworm him )

he looks like a sweet dog. so did you adopt him or do you work at the shelter? i bet if you get him fattened up, give him some good manners (lol) and tell his story to ppl he'll find a home in a heartbeat.. id take him.

i still cant understand ppl who get a dog for the sole purpose of a yard ornamant. it really makes me mad. Dogs are social, and see family as their "pack" and need to be around them-a life of isolation and starvation is inhumane.

KUDOS to you for giving this poor dog the TLC he needs and saving him.
The former people were probably too ashamed to turn him in to the shelter directly...Though
I suppose what they did was better then abandonment on some street curb.

Or letting him starve to death in their back yard.

He's adorable!

As if you would.... For shame, When you buy a dog you except full responsibility for it, You don't tie it up and let it starve. I Hate when people do this, It's the same as fish, People get big fish, and put them in little fishtanks.

What type of an area are you in? It must be very rural, because I don't know how long anyone can have a dog, looking like that, without the neighbors turning you in. Poor little guy. I hope he gets a good home.
