My pair of wild caught rays are so picky. I tried the starving method for the second time and they're just completely stuck on worms. I tried soaking sliced small pieces of market shrimp in with the worms for days. I even slice the shrimp to a shape of the worm and no luck...My rays already suffered the 1st time I starved them for 1+ month and the female got super skinny from it. I don't want them to suffer again. I gave in and mass feeding them worms again...

Anyhow sorry to bore everyone with this post with me venting here are some shots of my stuffed male marble Motoro.

i tried that DIY food, and my rays would have none of it. i tried different combos, no luck.

how old are your rays crazyfish? mine only just started eating something other than worms i would say.... 3 or 4 months ago. they are 2.5 yrs old roughly. and even now, they will only eat tilapia, sole and worms. both will gorge on tilapia which is great, but with sole, the male will only eat a bit, i guess he doesn't care for it as much. i will try with prawns, the DIY food and other stuff later on. it seems as they grow, their tastes for food mature as well. just give it time. the worms they are eating now are very nutritious, so it's not much of a big deal.

A tried and true backwoods Kentucky method to get on shrimp is to feed them live ghost shrimp first for a couple of days then kill the ghost shrimp by squeezing them and feed dead then start to add small pieces of frozen shrimp in with the dead ghost shrimp. You can convert in as little as 3-4 days. Starving has never really worked for me. I believe slow exposure with the right method works best.

Also do not put earthworms in the homemade food with gelatin. I do not know what is in the worms but it will cause the gelatin to not setup and you will end up with a pile of goo.

Try putting a whole in a piece of shrimp and lacing a worm through the whole and tieing a knot I know it seems crazy but it works. I got my female marble to eat shrimp in only a few days like this
