i have a fatty 15" TT that will only eat market shrimp, and i also have a jardini aro and poly's that also will only eat market shrimp. i would like to get the aro and poly's onto pellets but was wondering if the starvation method would harm the eel?

No, it won't harm him, but it might be difficult to keep him from eating the shrimp if you are going to continue feeding it to the jar.
i will still feed shrimp after i get the jar to also accept pellets, just want em all to get a varied diet.
it'll be fine. the only thing starving my eel did was make him less outgoing. quit coming out for food because he knew he wasn't getting any.
I'm planning to do the same thing with my Fire eel-it only accepts earthworms. How long should I give it or how long can it take? Weeks?
