Swimming in a mountain river
I got a rubberlip pleco. Put him in my gourami tank. Had the thing for about a week. And it starved itself to death. Anyone ever had this happen? It had algae wafers, veggies, and sunken fish flakes. It was a recently cleaned tank. So no algae yet. But. I even tried putting in one of those slow feeder blocks (my other plecos go nuts for them). He swam around normally. The only weird thing i noticed is that he rarely(if ever) hid. I'm wondering if he was sick or something. It seemed odd for a pleco to not hide. Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated. Gonna try again after a fair amount of algae grows.

Ugh... it starts with one tank... then you get two... then finally, you look around and ask: How on earth did i get to 6 tanks?

I have 1 in my planted 36 and see it about once a month, to be honest I forget he's even in there at times.

Well. I just did water test and its good. Ph, heat, and so on are in happy rubberlip perimeters. So the only thing i can guess is it was sick. Gonna let algae grow a bit, then try again.
