A few people asked me to keep them updated on how my EBJD does because they are interested in getting one for themselves, so I have started this thread to do just that

I'll post pictures and update everyone on his status every so often.

-He's doing great. Still happy and swimming and I re-did the divider so my big oscar won't be able to eat him lol. I think I finally got it right, after he escaped a couple times. So far he is one of my favorite fish. For now he is on a diet of blood worms and pellets.

is the blue one a mutation?

Who knows, some people say it's a hybrid and some people say it's a color morph, similar to albinism. More people seem to agree on the color morph theory though (myself included).

Best of luck with your ebjd, I have one and love him to bits! You'll have a great time with him as they have such awesome personalities! As he gets bigger he'll get more beautiful! You'll see!

Here is my EBJD, I got him at about 3 inches and he is a good 6-7 inches now! :)

^--Awesome looking EBJD, and to answer the earlier question, they were thought to be the runts of the fry when people starting breeding JD's together, now they are so popular. Great fish
