Hey guys I found online reptile sites that got some giant mexican musk turtle CB babies in stock recently and I was wondering has anyone on here had experience with this species or ever mixed them with other turtle species? What is the care for this species of turtle like aquarium size, feeding, maintenece and care in general. I know they are less agressive than the narrow bridge musk turtle and the salvinii giant musk turtle but I still dont know if they are mellow enough to be housed with some other species of turtle do you guys know because im hearing two different sides of this some people say that they are very aggressive and others other say they are like a giant common musk turtle.I did find some videos with the giant mexican musk turtle housed with other species of turtles I will put the links in this description. Here are the links to the videos.

Always remember they are similar to snapping turtles, they have a powerful bite and are carnivores. I would be very careful what I house them with, if anything besides their own kind.

Ya you are right im not going to risk it with the giant musk turtle but what about the madagascan big head turtle/erymnochelys madigascariensis this is another turtle I have had my eye on for awhile.I belive a few online turtle sites have them in stock right now but can you tell me the care for them if you know about this species at all because I cant find a care sheet anywhere. Like what size tank would a adult big head turtle need, would they get along with other turtle species and if they would be a good turtle to buy. The reason I ask this is because I was on the turtle forum and heard someone has one with their other turtle species like blandings turtles and african sidenecks and sliders and they get along fine with other turtle species just not turtles of the same species that is what I heard and I am considering maybe getting a baby big head turtle but they are really expensive the price is $500 per turtle I also heard they take a very long time to mature like 15-20 years to mature. What are your thoughts on this turtle and should I get one or do they get to big or are they to aggressive?

I would certainly wait until I find out more about them and their captive needs and requirements before purchasing one, especially at that price. As far as owning one, I can't offer much help, not in my resume. Turtles are dirty and are very high-maintenance so I kinda gave up on keeping them years ago. Unfortunately, this one, you are on your own. If I were you I would find a good reputable reptile forum and start typing the name in the search bar.....or call or e-mail the breeders for advice.
