staying down?

my green is like 25cms but she's mostly swimming at the bottom of the tank or sometimes lies at the bottom but she comes up once i aproache. she's eating well, water paramts are great... is this becuase she's still small?

Could be. How long have you had the green?

its like a month now...

Definitely could be because it's still young. My little jar did that for a while. He would hide with my catfish in the driftwood and slowly became more bold as time went on. I wouldn't be too worried if it's eating well, probably just still shy.

I changed my lighting too...I used to have six foot, high intensity bulbs but as soon as I changed over to the 4 foot bulbs he would come out more.

Mine's at the top and mid level all the time. Light is a major factor with them hiding...

I dim the light a little and the little fella will usually come out and play in the tank.

Thanks. But I guess you should just try all the suggestions out rather than pinning on only one.
