An aunt of mine has a 30 year old 120 gallon aquarium with a 30 gallon sump that has been housing fish since it was build by my Grandfather.
She is about to move and doesn't want to take the old aquarium. She is asking $500 dollars to cover some moving expenses
She said for 500 i get the tank stand lights sand sump...basically the whole setup.
I have a few concerns.
1. 30 year old fish tank in my home a good idea?
2. It has a small crack on one of the panes of glass that has been fixed with silicon a long time ago.
3. I've never kept a salt tank bf. I've kept fresh water species for about 17 years now. I am currently looking at converting my 30 gallon into a marine aquarium very soon. Would it be a problem to convert this old salty into a monster fresh water fish house?
Thanks for the input.
