A few days ago I noticed my water was getting cloudy. I did the usual WC but it still remained cloudy. It took me a few days to realize what the reason was.....

In my sump I have (had) a small pump for emptying water from the sump during a WC, and I had the hose clamped onto the pump with a steel jubilee clip. This clip was slowly rusting and making my water nasty. I removed the clip from the water and within a couple of days the water has cleared up fully.

Luckily, no fish were lost during this mishap :D

does any one know the actual process involved with the rust. i heard its very bad but it irks me to know end i can't find info on it.

What do you mean by "The actual process involved with rust ?"
