I'm having a steel stand made for my 575 gallon acrylic tank. The tank is 8 feet long, 46 inches wide, and 30 inches tall. They're going to use 2 inch by 2 inch hollow square tubing that is 1/8 inch thick. I drew a rough sketch and was wondering if anyone knows enough about weigh distribution to tell me if this stand would be sufficient. I also included cross bars on each of the corners for extra support. I want it to be able to support well over 3 tons just for piece of mind. Also, do I need another beam lengthwise across the middle where the tank will sit? And should I put a sheet of steel between the tank and the stand? Any advise is greatly appreciated.

2x2x1/8” is good. You don’t really need to go that crazy with the gussets in the corners at 30” tall. I make most of my stands out of 1/8”.

It's actually going to be 33" tall, sorry I typed the height wrong. Not sure that'll make any difference from 30". Also should I put an extra beam lengthwise across the top? Or is that unnecessary? I heard with heavy acrylic tanks you should put beams every 2'. Also I put all the corner bracing in because I read you should put in some cross bracing. But I clearly don't know where and how many.
