Hi guys,

I am considering using a steel 24" X 36" X 72" stock tank with a pond liner as a simple indoor fish pool...can anyone offer me some tips?

I like the idea of using the steel stock tank with a liner rather than the plastic tanks I've seen because the steel tanks have relatively smooth walls whereas the plastic ones have all kinds of molding bumps all over the place...

Has anyone else done the same thing?

Thanks for any assistance,

Simon

Thanks Throttle, that's interesting. So those are fitted liners for various round steel tanks..?

I wonder if they make 'em for the rectangular, round-ended tanks as well.

I notice that they come in blue as well...

Definitely very interesting,

Thanks again,

Simon

hey where are you getting the stock tank?im dieing for one!

Tractor supply co. Usually has quite a few, might want to check them out.

A steeltank can be sprayed w/truck bed liner to give a smooth water tight seal.

Muske - I was wondering if there's something that I could apply to the steel interior that would safely waterproof it - would the truck-box liner be fish-safe?

That's definitely an interesting option...

Cheers!

A lady on AC has a gal. round tank she had sprayed, running for 2 years w/o any problems.
