Steinhart Aquarium reopens September 27th. I'm looking forward to checking out the Arowana and Arapaima exhibits. I heard they went about 40 million (US) over their intended budget (crazy cool). Stop by it should be good.

my bro went yesturday and he said its awesome.the work done is truly outstanding.webcor did a great job.kept some of the old things from the history potion,framing and what not.the second floor is the fish floor if i understood correctly and he said it flows all together.totally cant wait and i dont think no one has made the mfk meet dates yet?we need that done.
Is the Steinhart already open? The dates I've seen said the 27th. Classes at Davis start back up the 25th and I couldn't make to the aquariums for opening day. If it is open sooner the rebuilt part in golden gate park I possibly could go.
I just checked again and the grand reopenning is Sept. 27th. If your bro (Proaquatics) got into the one in golden gate park not the temporary site downtown before the grand reopening that is sweet!!! The aquarium is supposed to hold twice as much water and many more species. There was a sneek peek of the aquarium and there is video posted online under New Steinhart Aquarium. Check it out absolutely big fish heaven!!!
