Hey guys! I am an avid fresh water lover but have made the plunge into Marine!:headbang2

I had a spare 75g tank and stand sitting around and decided to try it out.

After a quick cleaning of the tank and stand I set it up and headed to my LFS. They have pre-made salt water available so I purchased 15 5 gal jugs and then grabbed 16lbs of live rock. Got back home and away I went!

I placed the live rock in the tank how I liked it and dumped in water!! I am also using a Penguin 400 HOB filter with a medium (can't remember which) power head for added flow.

So far everything is good. I am waiting for the cycle to complete and have made decisions on a few fish!

My list of what I want to have; 1 Picaso Trigger:drool: (main reason I set up the whole thing) also 1 Blue Hamilet, a Miniatus Grouper and then for the last guy maybe either an Eal or a Dwarf Lion of some sort.

Right now I just want the Trigger! I have always loved them and said store has a nice big chunky one right now!!

Oh and I WILL have my water tested before I add anyone into the tank so I don't harm any of them.

That is completely over stocked

If you NEED the trigger keep just the trigger

The guys at the tropicorium will hook you up with something.

Hey bro!! Welcome back! LOL I will wait til we go there before I buy anything!

1 14" trigger in a 75?

yeah

if you really wanted to do the tank you described i would get at least a 125, maybe even a 150W

think about it..
you can pretty much get one oscar (a mated pair if youre lucky) in a 75
why would you be able to keep 3 "oscars" (trigger grouper and eel, whose more like 2 himself) in the same tank?
not to mention SW fish are more senitive to water quality in general

if you could get a larger tank in about a year, you could start off with small juvies of the fish you want and upgrade in due time

I see what you mean! I will be starting out with Juvies, in fact I just bought my first guy last night and he will be the biggest starting out!

I bought the Blue Hamlet! He is about 3 1/2" in length. I love his colors and he is always out swimming like crazy! Hope he stays the same way in my tank.

if the ones at work are any example.. you have a future food hog on your hands ;)
