My pond currently has 2 Brown Bullhead catfish and a few Koi. I was wondering if it would be possible to buy a Sterlet, grow it in a tank and put it in my pond with the other fish. I dont see a reason not to, the bullheads and koi seem peaceful enough that they wont bother the sterlet. My pond is big enough to hold quite a few fish so it wont be a space problem. also, My pond is completely cycled and the water is crystal clear so the water conditions wont be a problem. The temp. in my pond usually dosent go above 70 degrees farenheight.

How big is "big enough" exactly? Sterlet are among the smaller sturgeon, but are still big fish. As long as the pond is really big enough, it should work out fine.

as far as compatibility goes, you'll be fine as long as the cat cant eat the sturgeon
as for space, you will eventually need a lot more than 500g for the koi, not to mention the sturgeon, but you'll have a little time
