I know there are times we walk around and judge/sterotype people. Often stereotypes are so different to the person IF you actually speak to them.

I always wonder what stereotype people would fit me into if they saw me.
I'd guess... "brunette half asian, trendy snob"

What do you think you are??

im a big lad with a shaven head done with no guard on the clippers so its really short. straight away they think thug and people used to cross the street. little did they know im actually one of the few protecting our country from potential/actual threats and an upstanding law abiding citizen. I dont even drink alcohol or smoke. but because of my size and haircut they think "thug". it does anooy me a lot. also i use a walking stick now and when i park in disabled spots old people look at me cos im young and think because they are old they have a manopoly on being disabled and using the spots.

^ I have a friend who is similar.

Big guy, shaven head... but the sweetest person on the planet.

couldn't say what people who see me briefly think i am, i know my buddies think i'm the closest resemblance to Homer simpson in personality (not looks though).

People think I am a drunken Irishman with a short temper. It makes me so mad I want to get drunk and punch someone lol.

So far I'm the same as everyone else that posted. Big guy, shaved head, piercings, tattoos, long goatee. And I live in the yuppiest of towns. People cross the street quite often when I'm walking by. But oddly enough old people talk to me like I've been there friend for years.

i was 18 when i was pregnant, single, tattooed and pierced.
i went to a parent and baby club when i moved to my new area.
parents said to me, so what does my husband do.....he doesnt
what do u do.....i dont
how old are u.....19
oh right.....and off they walked. they wouldnt even let their kids play with mine because of it. my house is actually worth 4x more than theirs, my car is worth 4x more than theirs, my job before i got pregnant i got £25k a year!...i was 17!
if u dont have 2.4 children, a husband, dont work, have a 4x4 or a dog, u r not worthy.
i fall in to the young mum category that obviously got pregnant to get a house off the council and never work and live off benefits.......i actually judge girls like that i have to say...but im usually right.
no one ever asked why i am in the situation im in and what im doing with my life so s***w what they think, im the one thats going to come out the other side with a job so exciting and pays enough to keep my child in education and a roof over our heads!
YAY ME lol

I think that is because old people are just nice...

Good to hear a positive "young mum" story!!! I do think that in some ways times are changing, there are alot more young single parents out there who are still able to bring home the bacon and be fantastic parents.
