stewartii loves maggots

My son went fishing and came home with some maggots. Well he now goes mad for them when I get the pot out he swims to the top almost coming out the tank. If you have problems getting your dwarf or juvenile SH to feed try these.

6-7" I would say also loves red worms also available from the tackle shop 1/2 a pint of maggots and a tub of them would make a nice change to the diet.

Yes your right they colour them in the tackle shop red are the most popular the Perch love them but they do them in gold red even fluro colours now and of corse white.

I get some worms ordered off ebay. Its abt 3 quid for 50grams of them. And my gachuas love em. I'm gonna try have a look for some maggots. I also use to feed them mealworms when they turning into adults. I don't know if its good or not but they love it, plus it doesn't really make a mess like meal worms do (they're exoskelton).

i used to feed my asiatica maggots. they would go mad for them but i think it is hard for them to digest the skin of the maggots,,, some times i would see empty skins floating in the tank?????
