It's almost time for me to order more pellets for my polys, and I'm debating whether I should continue using Massivore or if I should switch it up.

My Polys range from 3" to 9", so pellet size is a factor. Right now I crush Massivore so they can fit it in their mouth, which obviously creates a decent amount of crumbs, and while they don't seem to cause major problems it would obviously keep my tank cleaner if they weren't there.

Anyone have any suggestions? Should I stick with massivore or is there a pellet that your polys like that is better for one reason or another? Please let me know why you prefer the pellet, whether it's price, tank cleanliness, etc. Thanks Poly People

mine are all eating the hikari sinking carnivore, ranging in size from a 3.5" ornate to a realllly hefty 6" albino senegal. ive even seen my new 1.5" Laps munch a pellet or two that i crushed and tossed in their growout tank. everyone in my tank seems to love it Dats, Lima Shovelnose, Balas, Ropefish all the catfish pig out on it. could be a good alternative for those who arent big enough for massivore

I believe some members are using hikari gold pellets with success and it's cheaper as well.

Id provide a varied diet. That way say there is something one pellet is lacking or has too much of it wouldnt make a big deal. My polys are weird they never cared for massivore/carnivore. Recently tried northfin and they loved it but wont be buying it again. I feed mainly tilapia and nls.

Nls mega fish has a higher protien content but is too large for smaller fish. I love the theraA as do the polys but i wouldnt feed it as a staple because of the lower protien content, instead would feed it a few times a week just because of the ingredients.

It's cheaper :-) under $21 for 2.2lb bulk bag. Look online for their nutritional information. During the growout or supplemental process. I feel that they'll get to 16" plus or juicy round sooner or later. Smell is tolerable and doesn't Reaktor apart too bad .
