I'm setting a glass eurobrace atop an epoxy-sealed steel bar.
Does epoxy (WestSystem) stick to glass, or am I better off using my last tube of 5200?

Background:
in-wall build of epoxy sealed cement. Glass is set into an epoxy-sealed 1.5" welded angle-iron frame, and this frame is set in-wall with silicone and several welded and cross-brace steel elements set with TapCon screws & epoxy.
Current issue: the silicone is a brand that I've used many times, as have others locally, to positive experience. However, with the cold & rainy weather it's not curing as expected: uneven, sometimes mushy, and patchy in how well it grabbing the epoxy resin. And I'm on a timeline, with foreign guests pending, wife freaking out etc. I've not even told her that it'll have to cycle before her fish can move over...

I have a Eurobrace glass that we were debating using. Now I'm thinking that any helping rigidity is good.
Thus returning to the question (now that my silicone isn't an option): Epoxy or 5200?

I'd love to use Epoxy as I've got heaps on-hand and I'm reasonably familiar with it, whereas this might be the last tube of 5200 on the North coast.
Either is going to take forever to cure in this weather...

Sorry for being such a pedant, folks. Hopefully this will be the last question before fish & pictures.

Notably, the silicone's cured as expected on the inside of the tank; it's the outer faces that are worrisome. As such, golf bunker sand + 30cm of "high-vitality" pond-water will go in tomorrow AM to start cycling & check them lower seals, then I'm off to the plumber's supply.

Sorry, can't help with your actual question, but I just want to draw your attention to something of which I only became aware very recently...after using truckloads of silicone over the past several decades. Silicone I, and I assume other silicones as well, has a limited shelf life and an expiry date on every tube. I've never had a problem but that is probably just dumb luck, because I have never noticed or checked the date stamp on the many tubes I've used. Any chance that the stuff with which you are experiencing problems might be expired?
