My tank is green, everyone said it was an alge bloom in my first post... But its lasting a long time the fish guy told me its sunlight i pretty much belive him. I now have all the windows shut and now the light on for no more then 6 hrs a day. Does everyone leave there light on 24/7? and no problems?

Or is this even worse is it NTS?!? I dont do more then 35% a week and the tank has been since around june 3rd.. help... my other tanks are fine..

Could you give a link to your other thread? If your tank is near a window you would have green water. I imagine you might have already been told this in your last post.

kepp the lights off for a couple days and only lamps and normal house lights on and do like two big water changes in a two week period with the continous 25-30% water changes

that should help alot

yes its by a window, but no one in the thread said anything about that last time. I just wanna be sure just what i have to do to the tank to make it run efficently..

well invest in a UV steralizer and only do 1 big 45% water change a week but still do 25-30% water changes

If it's a new tank, a UV will inhibit your cycle I think... you may have to wait it out. If the algae has either a) no food or b) no light, it won't survive, so you could try adding plants to your bio filter or main tank, or feeding less if you have fish in it.

I think he means New Tank Syndrome... although I'm not sure what about that would make your water green
