still alive in 55 - the Pygos mix

Yup I'm a slacker - or maybe if it works don't fix it kinda guy. 2 x Nettereri 7" and 8", 11" robust Caribe in 55 gal - aggression is pretty much pushing and nipping but no real serious bitting. They are feed daily and the water quality is perfect. Tanks kinda bland - okay boring when it comes to decor however it makes up for it with activity as well as down right shock and awe when you see these guys in person. Ya the skeleton looks stupid too - it grows algae to help feed the 50+ breeding colony of Assasin snails. These lil' snails may very well be the fabric that holds the water chemistry togather.

they maybe getting along but the tank size is not good for there over all health. imho

If I'm not mistaken we generally preach - 20 to 30 gal per fish 55 gal plus water in the filtration is just about as close as one can get to 20 gal per fish - but no worries I do agree 100 % they need a larger tank and they do have one. Someday soon I'll be having a large Pygo mix Shoal. I've had my hands full lately outfitting the 180 w/ other toothed Charciforms. After Xmas this'll happen. It does take awhile to growout large fish so I'm not seeing little dinky fish in 6'x2'

That tanks not the 180 it's 150 XH - the 180 = 2x Microlepus Cudas, Falcirostris Yellow Tail Cuda, 2x Tucan Chaleus, Brycon Dentenx, Scomeriodes Vampire Tetra, P-bass Mono, Silver Dat, Black Ghost Knife, Firemouth, Whiptail cat w/ Odoe Pike, Red tail Falcatus Cuda, 3 bar Indo dat, and Vampire Pleco growin' out. The 150 XH is hopfully gonna be - 1 x Piraya, 2x Caribe, 4x Nettereri Planted tank. Still trying unsucessfully to find plants that grow tall in high levels of dissolved O2, current, yet require no CO2 suppliment and aren't named messy *** Horn Wort, Ludwigia, Cambomba.

wow what a monster fish u got in there....it is illegal here in PH but i saw a few in lfs...around 5 to 6 inches..they want mad money for it $100!! plus i think it will be better if i can get them when they are still small
