I have two motors that just wont start eating again. The other two eat fine. These were the two that were breeding before my water went south. Now the water is back in shape i cant get them two to eat GOOD. I blocked the female off because someone has been biting at her disc again i dont know if its the male or not, but im trying to let her disc cure a little bit and try to get her to eat. Ive tryed nightcrawlers, smelt, and shrimp. She might nibble a bit but not much. There not getting skinny at this point. Is there anyhting i can do to boost them to eat. Ive even raised the water temp a little. Or will they just bounce back? Thanks for any info.

i am having the same problem with my 3 motoros , granted i just moved them into a 210 from 180 , it was kinda stressfull , but for me mostly lol

, now the 2 boys barely eat , and my prego female eats half what she used too ?? i was gonna start a thread , but im hoping to find out here ??

thanks

It's been almost 4 weeks since we have saw the female actually eat anything. She will sit ontop of a piece of smelt or a night crawler for alittle while, but then she'll move away and it's still laying there. The male has maybe at 2 or 3 night crawlers in the same length of time. You can see they aren't as "plump" as they were a month ago, but they aren't looking sickly or overly skinny. We have dumped lots of ghost shrimp in hoping that maybe they have nibbled on them. Like I said before there is another male & female in there with them and they are eating, in fact the smaller male is eating better than he ever has. Going to keep the female seperated in the pond for a little while, try to get her disc to heal up some. I think she had better color just after 24 hours of being seperated from the others. I guess only time will tell, but if anyone has experienced this and share some words of wisdom we'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

wow that sounds like exactly what i am going through , its only been 3 or 4 days for me , but when they go from little pigs to snubbing there nose to all foods , i am concered ,..

my plan is to do daily water changes 25% worth , keep with salt and be patient ?? temp is 82-84 tops !@!

hope we can get our rays back to the way it was ..lol
