I'm still searching for a long mean looking fish to go in my 110 with my bichir...and after lots of online searching....
Pickerel? I hear they aren't too aggressive, do well in warmer water, and don't get overly huge.
Has anyone tried this? Is is strongly advised against doing?

If not, does anyone have any other ideas for a long, sleak looking, NON bottom dwelling carnivorous fish that doesn't get monsterously huge?

my friend has a freshwater barracuda and it fits the descripton perfectly. the only problem is that there happier in groups.

my flowerhorn (I think it is a flowerhorn a rose queen) picked on my polypterus non stop. I had to seperate them

How about a Flowerhorn? I have a friend who's giving one away because it got too big for thier tank.

They are quite aggresive that they might kill your prized bichir, most FH should be kept alone in a tank.

get a couple channa bleheri or channa gachua... they dont get to big... also another bichir couldnt hurt
