Hey MFK Members!

Well I will be posting pictures of my two rays the male at 4-5in. and the female at 5-6in. The male has a black stinger on top of another black stinger hopefully one will drop and my female has a pure white stinger. I don't know if I should be worried. Also my female is still skinny with he pelvic bones visible. I've been feeding her plenty of earth worms. My male is very healthy, The only tank mates I have with thm is 2 gouramis at 3 inches and 4 silver dollers that range from 3-4in. They are currently in a 72 gallon bow front tank.

Double stingers is normal, sometimes the old one doesn't fall off, eventually it will. White just means the sheath came off, probably the female either attempted to sting something sometime before you got it or the plastic tubing during shipping came off with the sheath. If you really are feeding enough and pelvic bones are still showing, then you probably have internal parasites.

Ok tn tomorrow I will try and see if they have prazi pro at my near lfs. Will any of these medications work?

Aquarium Salt, Melafix or Pimafix?

Here are some pictures:

I know this tank is not for life just awaiting my furture tank..some pictures were a little off track

they look nice and active.

just keep feeding them as much as they will eat, twice per day. they will be nice and fat in no time ;)

Thanks, I will try to get to my local market and purchase some smelt. They are very active eater, but she isn't just gaining so tomorrow I will try to get to my near by lfs. Thanks

Try switching to some new food to see if they like it more, like small bits of shrimp, try blood worms, black worms, and even small bits of filet of any fish. Just some ideas to get it to start eating a little bit more.

I've tried shrimp, but they both don't like it(I'm surprised of the male not eating because he eats anything! He even tries to eat the dollers!
