Florissant Mo.
my ray was almost 2 yrs. old. Yesterday she was swimming on the surface back and forth as fast as she could. I tested my water and the nitrates were at 20. W did a water change 50%. It was the first time she would stay at the top of the tank. Could she have had a bug of some kind? I wish I would have knowed more about rays before I got her, if not for this forum I donot think I would have had her this long. Your guys rock with all your Info. One more thing no one ever says what to do with the body. Thanks for all the help.

Two years...damn. Sorry for your loss.
As for the body, it's up to you. Do an autopsy, bury it, cremate it, preserve it... up to you.

Sorry to hear that:( A few years ago i lost a 1.5 year due to my male, who was trying to mate with her before she was ready.

I've had him for around 4.5 years now, and my new female is 2.5 years old. They are breeding now:)
