i was doing some work in the fish room today the smallest of my rays in the pond has been acting funny he is about 8in so i cleared a tank to put him in. i netted him and put him in right away i seen what looked like a broken rib bone sticking out of his skin.a small bit of it.so i put him in a shallow container clipped his stinger i seen the lung on that side was not pumping i figuered the ray may die so i made the decition to try to pull it out i pulled light once nothing did it agian and the hemostats poped of so i looked at my buddy and said well i gues what happens happens then i looked at the ray and now i see a big stinger sticking out so i pulled it out all the way.for a 8in to have a stinger in it the size of a cigarette i thought it was bad that was 1hr ago he is now eating masivore

well to tell you the truth it was like 1in behind his r spiracle thru his gill plates and was breathing very hard and looked like it might die wasnt thinking about a pic besides my first plan was to get him into the container and check him out didnt think i was pulling a stinger.i could post a pic of stinger and wound
