im selling the fish out of my 180 gallon tank and im thinking of getting a stingray for it but i have never kept any rays before any advise would be great also what should my tank have in it as far as substrate goes it has smooth river stone in it right now would that be okay its about the size of a peanut and smaller would that be okay for a ray? also i have three 6 inch clown loaches would i be able to keep them in the tank withe the ray?

don't go wit sand.... rays might get ammonia burn keep it bare bottom simple. bottom side of rays is very soft don't want them to have cuts, gotta keep up wit water change, they eat alote. depending on the ray size they might try eat your cl. they crap alote, your tank needs to be big enough for when they get massive. there are so much more...google is your friend.

Get a motoro. Thats the first ray I got. They are easy to take care of. I've kept him on sand, small natural stone gravel and bare bottom. Hes on bare bottom now but I think he used to like wharn he could bury himeself in the gravel. If you get a small one to start out, find out what its eating and try that. If it doesnt eat, throw in live blackworms. Rays go nuts for that. My 3 rays eat anything I throw in now. Just keep your water clean and feed everyday. You will have success.
