Hi all
I am going to try my luck at keeping rays in a little while . I am wondering what the basic rules of rays are I was think of trying retic rays at first just because they are a little cheaper, just in case things dont work out at first . So my question is what are the basic rules, temp ph ect anything I need to know .

What ever advice you give would be great .

thanks

ph 6-7, temp 75-84, dont mix them with plecos, and dont mix them with small fish

Gotta buy the stingray owners bible..."Freshwater Stingrays by Dr. Richard Ross"

very informative and its cheap too!

Retics might be cheaper but they are pretty difficult as they are often times mishandled and by the time you get them they are in very bad shape. Motoro might be the way to go but do your homework first like the others have said get the Dr. Ross book.:iagree:

I was going to moto rays in the future maybe i will consider it as a first option .

I keep my temp 85/86 degrees the main thing with ph is too keep I consistant don't let it swing up or down and I also highly recommend a motoro as your first ray very hardy rays
