Hey guys, Im new to the stingray keeping and i want to try it out. i have a 5ft×2.5ft×2.5ft tank and wonder if i can keep a ray. If so, what rays can i keep and for how long? Filtration is 2 FX 6 and a 405. Thanks

Hey guys, thx for the input. I have heard the motoro rays are easy to keep and hardier than hystrix. Is it possible to keep one in the 522 for a year then upgrade him? I shuld be looking at males since they are smaller? And will 3 Hampala barbs be alright as tankmates and an asian arowana? Thanks once again

Personally I would look for a hystrix or mini marble. They are just as hardy as a motoro, if you have good filtration and water change schedule you will do just fine. As for tank mates I can not have much of an input my advice would be to get a ray and have it alone until you have a firm understanding of what they need then add tank mates after about 6 months or so

People keep rays with arowanas all the time a bottom dweller and too dweller is ideal actually

No I am not crazy. Look at the profile in the stickies. If you have a reticulated Ray above a foot please share.

Ok I retract my comment you are not crazy retics do not get as big as I thought I had tiger/flower in my mind for some reason.. but my suggestion for no tank mates was on the theory that it is easier to deal with issues without tankmates (if it happens) and not that you fit in the category J Jyyx03 but we here alot of "I'll upgrade later"
