Stingray biting other stingrays tail.

i have a 7 inchfemale marble motoro and about a 5 inch male black hybred.They have been together for four or five months now and receintley the motoro looks like she has been biting the black rays tail.It looks like it just bone not almost to his barb.Everything else if fin.And all the tank parameters are great, filter is cleaned regulary and water changes done every week.And he is still eating also.

What's your feeding regime like? Obviously these are both pups, pups need feeding more often than larger/mature rays as their metabolism is so fast.

Is it a bare bottom tank? If it is, you could try adding substrate, it gives the pups something to dig in, rays in general, may just take the edge off the tail biting.

All the other rays i had i used to feed like blackworms cause thats what the store always had me feeding them.Thses are the first ones they i have had that are on crawlers or pellets

You gotta up your feeding mate,
Several times a day. Several worms at least, per ray, per feeding. I bet that stops the tail biting

I agree with MH, I feed my rays until their stomaches are huge and by the end of the day, it'll all be digested. When I dont feed them as much, my male marble motoro starts to get pushy with my p14 hybrid and nips at her sometimes.
Just up your feeding regamine and the marble should leave the black ray alone.
