Stingray burying when lights on

I got the stingray 4 days ago hes around 5-6inch disc and when I put the lights on the aquarium he hides in the sand
Parameters are 0 and under 10ppm nitrates
He eating well but just wondering if its normal for him to hide in the sand.

Perfectly fine most don't put enough sand in their aquariums for the Stingray to do that.

Ok makes sense my take has an inch of sand about maybe a little less in certain areas I love wen he sifts through the sand and u can see the pits on the sides of the glass.

Also anyone with info on getting them on tilapia he eats frozen krill and live black worms thats all he eats rn any ideas. i throw a dime sized cube of tilapia in He goes over it and then leaves it I then after 10mins take it out and feed it to my oscars. I believe ive seen him eat it once or twice.
