Hello again everyone! I have a 360 acrylic tank coming in with x2 overflows, a large sump, bio media, etc. I would like to use a sand substrate and I am planning on eventually breeding stingrays. I want to have a pair (or trio, if it is better for breeding) of Marbled Motoros and a pair of Leopoldis. The dimentions are 96 x 36 x 24.

Will that be enough space? Would it be problematic to add a Silver Arowana?

Thanks.

-Matt

IMO that isnt enough room for 5 adult rays, Plus eventually you would want to seperate them to get pure leo so you dont get cross breds

How many adult rays (I'm getting them as pups, but this will be the biggest tank I get for I while) is that system suitable for?

just build 2 large ponds....

:popcorn::popcorn:

What's the footprint of the tank?

I'de say it MUST be at least 3 foot wide to begin to consider it a permenent home......

better off saving some money and building a couple large ponds... one for leo's one for motoro's

I live in an apartment (luckily on the first floor!). I will be using a stock tank for quarantine, but one of the requirements for this thing being allowed in the house is that the rays are in an acrylic tank (which kills my wallet, but I will take what I can get).

If the yard was mine I would just dig a pond and drop a liner, but as it stands my landlord would s*** a chicken. :ROFL:

Yup. Congradulations on purchasing your first "grow-out" tank. 360 till they are mature. Then pond them...... Seperate species.

Some would say that footprint is big enough for life..... Mine are pond bound after a foot.

I read through the forums, talked to Miles, and it seemed a 300 gallon (wide) would adequately house motoros. I was only wondering exactly how many adult rays I could keep in it comfortably.
