Hello MFKers! I was wondering if my pair of 4"-5" Retics will be okay. I mean they will eat around only 2 pieces of nightcrawlers before they stop eating. They will still be looking around for food but they will only nibble at it and not devour it. I recently added some ghost shrimp in there and they love killing them but will not eat them. Is this going to be a problem or in no time they will soon eat like pigs?
Thanks

have you tryed earth worms ... cut them up into small pieces and feed asap.. also if they wont eat the worm get the rest out that they dont eat .. hope this may help you out .

good luck

I've been doing that. They eat only around 2 pieces and will only nibble at the worms after that. Anyone else, But thanks Kewlnip.

Anyone? BUMP!

BTW the params of their tank is:
PH: 7.0-7.5
Nitrite: 0 PPM
Nitrate: 10-15 PPM
Ammonia: 0
Temp: 84-86 Degrees Fehrenheit
BTW they are in a 55 Gallon. (4x1x1)

BUMP!

how long have you had them if they are relitivly new i would leave the lights off for a while, also retics are picky eaters see if you can get some blackworms from an lfs that way it doesnt make your water go bad if they dont eat them. Once they are nice and fat off black worms go back to the cut up night crawlers

I got them around a week ago. The bloodworms from my LFS has leaches in them so yea I don't really want to buy them anymore. But I will try leaving lights off for a while then.
Thanks.

some members feed leaches to thier rays as well

I tried bloodworms the other night and the rays ignored them totally.
