My motoro has a small dark colored splotch.

It has been there for a few weeks - not growing, and not getting smaller either.

He seems healthy, is eating well etc.

Treated the tank with prazi - as that was recommended by some on another site. Now looking for any sort of input on this.

Thanks,

I've had the ray for almost half a year now.

These showed up within the past three weeks or so.

There was a similar mark on the ray when he had and lost a blister like thing. (Months ago) That eventually went away, but this is not going away, nor was there ever a blister or wound here.

There are no decorations in the tank or a heater - there IS a powerhead in one corner a couple inches off the bottom pointed up however.

Prazi has done nothing.

Although he appears to have fewer light brown spots on his belly that looked like birth marks.

Does look a bit like a bruise. I wouldn't treat the tank anymore. Does the powerhead have a strainer on it? Any sucker mouthed catfish in the tank or other rays? It doesn't look like a heater burn but just to rule that out please confirm no heaters in tank. If the powerhead is just for movement you are better off with a Koralia type movement pump as they use very little energy, flow more water and make less noise...they are totally ray friendly too.
Rays heal very quickly. Keep up the water testing and water changes and the ray should take care of the rest.

Ill do an h2o change tomorrow.

Powerhead is koralia style.

No heaters rays or sucker mouthed fish in tank.

Just worried a little since its been there so long.

I don't think it is an issue. If it was it would have made itself known by now.
