Stingray HELP

I just picked up this stingray, its doing something weird with its lip. I moves it up and down repeatedly and I think its gonna die.

Seems like stress to me. As Scott said; good water quality, lights off. A small amount of rock salt might help too.

My p14s did this often as pups and still do it sometimes. As long as your water is good I wouldn't worry. Seems they are just "sniffing" their surroundings so to speak.

I think I say something on another thread that said the ray was likely to die if it did this so I freaked out but the rays fine now, thanks guys.

However the the ray now is doing this thing where it will swim up and down the side of the tank for some reason. This happened once to my male pearl (this is a male p14), does this ray need some sand? Or another ray? He didn't do this is the store and there were 8 other pups with him and they were all on a glass bottom.
