Not for life, but a hystrix and\or reticulatus could live there for a long time. Males maybe even for life. Depends on the one your getting, there is individual sizes, some get big, some doesnt.

you could keep a Motoro in there but its really a bit small for one (Motoro and teacup are the same) they get 10-12 inches before tail but small rays dont ship well.

NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!! Teacup is not a species of ray. RETICULATED, is a real species. And motoro and RETICULATED are FAR from the same thing. FAR. Motoros can get to 30 INCHES disk, so a full grown one would physically NOT FIT in a standard 180. A male retic could maybe fit in there with adequate filtration. And for rays, that means way overkill filtration. Btw, for all you experienced ray keepers,I've been researching a lot more and now feel somewhat qualified to give this basic info.

I am glad you posted that.....people should not be posting replies to say motoros are teacups....

A 180 is not suitable for any rays for life IMO and if you need to ask then you probably do not know enough to get away with it, sorry to be harsh.
