I’m interested in buying a poly stock tank and eventually putting either a male motoro or bd hybrid in there along with a few other things. I’m presented with a few options. Obviously I know bigger is always better but would a 6’x2’ (320 gal) round tank be okay or should I go for the 8’x2’ (580) tank? Again these are round tank and I’m talking in terms of diameter and water depth.

Personally would just go for the 580 gallon stock setup.

Some thing to consider, is this going inside a house or a garage? Most houses don’t have a doorway that you can get an 8’ pond through.

If you have the space, time, money etc to do the 8’, it is a much better option if you are thinking this is a forever home.

I have also looked into this for myself. I found some really great deals on these stock ponds but realized there is no way of getting it into my house, so my next house needs to have a nice big garage for the fish room lol
