Stingray problem?

Does it look like a fungus however? If it is I’ll buy the medication required

I’m not sure what the temp is. I live in Singapore where it is always summer so I don’t bother buying a heater. It still reacts to food, but does not eat it.

Summer or not I would still check the temperature. I keep mine at 84.

l go get a thermometer. I’ve added in api melafix medication to treat if it is a fungus

The tail says the ornate is likely still nipping at the ray... Ornates are nippy as far as bichirs go.

So it’s not a fungus but a bite? I thought I read fungus may grow on stingrays tails

Bites turn into fungus on tails rather easily. Tail rot can be a sign of nipping.

Should I add in any other medication besides the melafix?

I wouldn’t bother with any meds, it’s just a typical tail injury.
The damaged area will fall off and the tail will quickly heal on it’s own without need for any chemical additions.
People seem to be all too eager to add meds all the time.
If your water is good rays heal remarkably quickly.

Something likes the rays tail tho ?
Is it kept with other rays or just the bichir? Sometimes rays start to nibble other rays tails once they have been damaged so keep an eye on it

It’s a ray with bichirs. Think it’s the ornate then.
