Hello. I was thinking of using a storage container with holes in and sitting it on the bottom of my tank with sand in it for my stingray pups. Would this be ok as I’ve seen a lot of people using floating boxes. Does it have to float?

A cage is a cage… does not have to float… it is advantageous to have it floating tho IMO…Keeps all the tank floor space for the adults that way and it also gives you easy access to the pups for feeding. Pups only need 12” or even less of water depth. Ive kept them in “pup boxes” for up to a year. I usually run the 18”x36” size totes and tie them up to the top tank bracing with airline tubing lol…
