Hi everyone.
I have afew question that I wanna ask you's expert..
I went to my lfs store today and purchased a pair of stingray and I think they are motoro.
anyway I'm keeping them with my peacock bass and some brasiliensis...
Well maybe this is a stupid question to ask but my water hardness is at 300 and PH is at 6.8, no amonia nitrite and nitrate, temperature is 30 degrees, tank is 5 by 2 by 2..
I'm just wondering if my rays would be happy in this water condition, temperature and space??

That translates to 86 deg. I believe some people here have kept rays at that temp. Maybe a little high IMO. I keep mine at 79 deg. As far as hardness, I cant tell you anything as I have never looked into it. I can say, rays can adapt to various water conditions if acclimated. I would suppose your LFS kept them in the same water. If they eat they should be fine. If they dont eat, put in a divider to keep stress down. As far as size, I think 6x4 min. for adults. How long has the tank been set up?

my lfs store keep their hardness at 120 and ph at 6.8 , temperature at 76 degree.Well they havent start eating yet but they look very happy in my tank and swimming everywhere from left to right up/down... my 5x2x2 tank has been set up for about 6 months already and I'm still waiting for my 7x3x2 should be deliver to me in 2 weeks time..

Adding two rays might cause some spikes in your cycle, test often the first week to ensure nothing gets to wack.
