Hello! I was wondering if any of the following species would be fine in a 6x3 tank. I dont have the tank and might not for a while (if ever) Im just curious
so the rays I was looking at
-Marbled motoro
-Histrix
-reticulated ray
I realize that female rays get larger.
would a pair of some sort of rays work?

Probably minimum for a Hystrix pair but the species is not as hardy as the Motoro Stingray species.

I consider 4'x8' minimum for any adult rays long term. I have 2 tanks with a 6x3 footprint. I feel they are good for 1 adult ray temporarily when need be or multiple growouts longer term.

Gpdriftwood Gpdriftwood even a 14" male reticulated ray?
No guarantee a retic will stay that small, and I definitely would not go with a finicky species for your first ray. Better off with a motoro. I have a blue Motoro at 16" that I just had in a 6x3 for a month or 2, and he made the tank look very small and was not happy to be in it. He's back in a 4x8.
