Hi everyone,

I'm a new menber here. I've been keeping fishes for 15 yrs, but just tried to keep fw stingray for about 4 months.

My motoro stingray's belly are very pink. It's that the sign of any problems (I just noted yesterday)? and how to treat it. Thank you for all your replies.

Welcome to the site.

You will get more help in the Stingray Forum.

Need a picture. If it is a young ray it should have a pink hue to it. Have you tested ammonia? What is the substrate.

You report that you live in California, it is not wise to advertise that you have a fish that is illegal to keep in that state.

tank size? water params? picture?

I really didn' know that is illegal here. I never check what kind of fishes are legal or illegal before. I buy what ever look good that the 3 lfs which I've been buying fishes all the time in the last 8 years. So I think I have to bring them back to the lfs that I picked them up. I know for use the owner of that lfs will take them back because I'm their good cust. I did so many time before. I bought some fishes from them if I don't like them I can bring them back later. They alway give me credit (no cash).

I really like fishes, but I don't like to keep something that is illegal.

Thank you Tank125 for your advise.

im suprised a lfs would be able to sell them.... you should talk to him about that, might save him a big ticket
