How often should a stinger be shead?

My ray has only shead one stinger since I got him 6 months ago.

my reti shed 3 stingers in a year.. he grow from 4.5 to 7.5 inch

depends on rays growth... my old motoro shed 4x in one year and my new ones haven't shed yet.... the ray will shed it when it wants... how ever by looking at your sig your shrimps and crays are not going to last long...

The younger the ray, the more often they seem to shed them. Every four to six months seems to be about average.

The shirmp and crays are in my planted tank with the assorted tiny fish. I have 6 different tanks, not everything in my sig. is in the same tank. I just wanted to save space and didn't break it down by who is in what tank.
