Its really white at the base, is it going to fall off soon if so how long is it going to take? There's another stinger growing under it too. I was going to post a pic but it won't let me from my iPhone.

should be anytime. Just depends, there is no set amount of time it will stay there until it falls off. Ive even had some fall off that didnt even turn white. So just keep watching, check a few times a day and when you notice its gone, try and find it in the tank so you can get it out.

Hi Heather, just be careful when handling the stinger as it will still have traces of the toxic membrane on it also if your not going to keep it please dispose of it safely. Rays grow 2 stingers at a time, as the larger 1 grows a smaller 1 will push it out so it is always armed. Hope this helps.

Yea I knew about getting it out of the tank asap and making sure not to stab myself with it lol. Just wondering if it would be soon. But I'll just keep watchin... I swear I spend more time watchin my fish then most people lol

Thats not sad, We have one of our 250g and one of our 75g in our living room. The 150g is rt next to my chair. So all I have to do is just look over and see them. They are always swimming around and plus the aro is always active. Find myself watching it more than my TV that is straight in front of me..
